New Toy

Just purchased my first tractor. 2017 Mahindra 1526 with Loader...Tired of breaking my back in the dense woods, felling and bucking Oaks, Maples and Ash.
I've been researching a few years looking for what would fit my needs. Hopefully i made right decision. Looks like a great Forum with some great folks with helpful info...I`m sure ill need plenty.

You don't need to hope for the best, you bought the best. It, like all the other 1526/3016 tractors out there, will run flawlessly for you. A real good choice.

Thanks oldpilgrim..I wanted the Mitsubishi engine and no DPF. I`ve heard nothing but praise ( during research ) regarding the 3016`s which i believe were also non DPF and Mitsubishi engines.

The 1526 is the 3016, just renumbered, except for the same Mitsubishi engine which is rated at 26hp instead of the 3016 rating at 28. When the final tier 4 regs came into effect, the 3016 was changed into a 1526. I've had mine for 3 winter's and 4 summers now and it's been perfect. In winter it has always started easily, even at 9 below zero F. U will love it.

PS..... Load the tires. You'll be glad you did.

Dealer loaded tires with Rim Guard.. I wanted Engine block heater option but dealer said same thing you stated that Tractor started fine in winter just with glow plugs. Thanks for info.

Never refer to your tractor as a toy, it is a tool, and when you are using it, it is referred to as working not playing. I am always trying to convince my wife of this but she doesn't seem to buy it. Must be the big childish grin on my face while I am on my toy... I mean tractor:laughing:. Welcome to the forum, it has helped me many times and provides endless entertainment. A lot of very knowledgeable people on here willing to help.
