WAAAAAH! The new L4630HST is once again encrusted with ice after a windy night. The block heater is plugged in, the chains are on as is the rear blade. But with so much going on I've not had time to put more than a couple of hours on the clock! WAAAAAH!

I know what you mean! Although I don't have the ice problem, seat time is hard to come by in the winter with the short days. Usually dark before I get home in the evenings. Wishing summer was here already!

Pete .. My new kubota arrived the 2nd week of October. It now has a whopping 11 hours on it.

The flooding here in Maine killed my seat time. I'd say 6 of those hours are from rides up the road to the dam and back.

I think I've had it here for about 3500 hours, 11 of which were spent with it running. That's pathetic.

So far, in these terrible TERRIBLE Maine winters, I've got to move snow TWICE.

I have a brand new 6 foot landpride cutter with a total of 20 minutes on it since October.

The horror. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Pete:

If Tetters is getting sad just sitting there bring him on over. I am sure we will be able to find some jobs to keep him busy. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Boy I know how ya feel. I got an old tractor and can't get on the seat these days with all my work, bluegrass and baby girl (no complaints on spending time with my baby girl).

I got a couple hours of weed eating (brush wacking) on the hill, a few trees around the yard that needs to meet my chainsaw, need to turn what I call my compost pile and I can box blade for days upon the hill filling in some old ore diggings. I need to win the lottery so I can buy me some time!

Happy Tractoring!! Low and Slow and got buy some tools for the garage... A grease gun and add a flexible hose to it, get ya a compressor too, and don't forget that big ol' adjustable wrench.

I can maybe help you out with getting some hours on tetter's. You fall enough trees to keep me busy for a week and I will take a vac and come by to skid them for you with the 4630.

What kind of chains did you put on the rears, and where did you get them?

Pete I'm coming into this thread late and wasn't even aware that you got a new ride. Good for you, I'm hoping for longer days, warmer temperatures, and lots more seat time for you in the future.

Pete, You can trailer it down here and do some blading for me. Dirt, not snow. I need a pad for a barn done. The temp this morning is downright chilly, 39 deg. Should get up to about 70 this afternoon. Still no rain for almost 2 months. Dry as a bone. If it makes you feel any better, I have been too busy for tractor projects too.

Hope for an early spring up there....Kyle

simonmeridew,
Those are Valby ice chains he has on that. I also have them on mine. They work well in snow, ice or mud. Bite like a bear on ice.

Kyle -- Your low of 39 is barely tolerable! I supposed if I wore just a t-shirt I might last till the temp hit 50! We just had a couple of days with highs in the 40s and all of us up here in Vermont were sweating from the heat! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Had my L4630GSTC deliverd in Dec of 04, put about an hour on it, put it the shed and it stayed there until April of 05. It was not a problem as I was not around and knew that it would get plenty of hours, which it did, when we got home.
