Tractor
T1520
Considering getting a little BX Tlb.

But thinking of hanging on to the new holland t1520, for the ss74, tiller, etc. Little worried that my 2.5 acre lot does not justify two units.

Going for a mid mount mower, which will give the new backhoe a second main function.

Could always sell the old tractor and pickup snow blower and rotor tiller etc ... again.

I have ruled out a backhoe for the t1520 but maybe that would be the smarter thing to do.

Any thoughts tractor forum friends?

Keep it. You don't have to justify it. It'll justify itself. Why do you think I have 4 which I used the last 3-4 days, all of them for different things.

Having two tractors is GOOD!

Having 3 tractors is BETTER than good!

One tractor per implement is BEST!

My father in law told me years ago you need two, one to pull the other out of the bog. I bought the second tractor (really the third but the second is totally smaller than the other two) and gave careful consideration to selling the tractor the new (used) one was to replace. Glad I keep it. It allows me to have my brother or son in law help with the second tractor at busy times and also at busy times yes the do end up hooked to an implement each saving the back and forth hooking and unhooking. The price on the tractor will not be much less if you end up selling in a year than now so decide on at least a one year trial period. if you go a year and decide makes little sense for the second tractor then sell it.

That is very good advice Mate.

If you don't have to sell hang on to both see how it goes decide at later date.

The validity of this statement is borne out with age. The older you get the more important it is. I was up to 7 when I decided enough was enough. Down to 4 now with 3 pt connection aids either in a smaller tractor that is easy on-off light enough to move by hand, built in or aftermarket, like Pat's Quick Hitches.
