Great looking tractor, looks comfortable. What's the rear bucket used for?

Was the hydraulic pressure relief low or was there another issue? Seems too often that there is the relief valve pressure spec, then there is the actual factory set pressure.

Curious if the previous owner got rid of it because of the weak loader/3 pt. That would have been an expensive lesson. Glad your dealer was able to get it fixed.

That makes sense.

Years ago I bought some accessory stuff from Marshall. They were in business to make a profit but I recall them being honorable about things.

nice tractor! i've found that on my side of the world, guys wont get rid of their tier 3 tractor for a tier 4! I think the 5240 would have lasted the rest of your life.

The rear bucket is a Gannon 4x4 box blade. Makes an awesome counterweight and its useful for grading dirt and snow removal. The tractor was a Marshall lease unit. Explanation was all (most?) of the pressure relief shims were missing so the relief was kicking off at 1300-1400 psi, way under spec (spec is over 2600 psi by memory) - so VERY little lift. How the shims got removed is anyones guess. Pump volume was up at max. One regeneration so far and it was a non-event. Im going to do a comparison to the 5240 once I get some more hours on the new machine. Jim

Quick update. The salesman called me today out of the blue to make sure the tractor was working right and I was satisfied. We hear lots of negative experience on the net so its nice to be able to share a positive one. Jim.
