New tractor, look\'n like it\'s gonna happen.....
Greetings, I've been bombarding the forum w/ questions and the like re. Kubota CUT's & SCUT's lately and it looks like 3/4's of the purchase of the new tractor puzzle has been matched.
Can't count the times I've stopped by to sit on, drive and just cypher out which machine will get the pleasure of hauling my behind around the homestead doing various chores, mainly finish mowing but also all kinds of other fun in the sun type of things too. Seems alot of my travels lead me past a Kubota dealer or two anymore...
Anyways, I've decided to go with the little ole B7510. It seems to fit the role I need most. There are larger sizes readily available but 21hp should be enough. So with that decision, 50% of the equation is done.
This past Saturday, I put a new battery in my trusty ole 1948 TE20, washed her up real good and made shine what little she had to shine, then put her in the front yard right on up next to the road and placed a fer sail on her. By Sunday evening I had a down payment to hold her and last night I got to work her one last time loading up the box blade, boom pole and double bottom plow onto her new owners fine tandem trailer. When she effortlessly backed up onto the trailor with the 5' bush hog in tow that last time and I shut her down and they secured her, another 25% of the equation was completed albet a somewhat pensive percentage at that. That little ole tractor has served me well for 15 yrs or so and now it's off to tame yet another new homestead for a younger family. Wonder if'n the folks over in Coventry England, back in 1948 knew that their product would be still going strong into the next millenium?
So, with 75% of the equation completed, the final and most important 25% needs to occur before I am once again back to happy tractoring.... This one is a little more complicated than the prior events, even more so than convincing Mommasan of the need for a new toy, errr ahhh tool (this came at a high price btw) but it should occur as planned.
Unfortunately it'll be at least another 10 days before it reaches fruition and in the meantime, all I can due is try to think about such things as work, Christmas shopping for the Mrs & progeny, and all the other various holiday stuff whilst my minds on getting that orange machine in the back 40 (really back 2) and putting it through the paces to see if'n this machine does in fact stand up to all that I've read it will.....
So, what am I say'n, danged if'n I know, I best get back to work /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Have a good 'un.
