Well, we got some decent weather the last couple of days, so I set up the flail mower and was getting ready to go do some mowing, when I noticed some hydraulic fluid on the ground. After cleaning the oil off the tractor, I was able to isolate it. It was coming from the male threaded fitting off a square 90 on the front of an aluminum looking block, where the dealer put a second remote on. I could grab the hose and move the hose angle, with my hand, from 8 o'clock to 11 o'clock - at which time I ran out of threads. It leaked even worse at the 11 o'clock position. There is a bolt that threads into the end of that 90 and I don't understand what that is for. Could it have something to do with adjusting the tightness? I am over an hour away from the closest dealer and I bought this tractor from a finance company that repossessed it. The tractor has 8.5 hours on it. Any help from y'all would be, greatly, appreciated. I think my wife is going to go postal, cause she wants to use "her tractor". ;)

That would be what we normally call a banjo style fitting. The bolt is hollow. They normally seal with copper washers. Try tightening the hollow bolt a little and see if that fixes it. If not, remove the bolt and inspect the washers, there will be two of them, one between the fitting and the block and one between the fitting and the head of the hollow bolt. It should like the bolt is just loose. Then let the wife get back on "her" tractor!

Thanks Dave, I, finally, got it tightened up and then another line connection to same shiny block started leaking. I tightened it, a bit, till it stopped, then went and mowed an acre. It was leaking pretty good after the oil got hot, so I'll tighten it again and keep checking it. Thanks for your advice with this. I, mistakenly, thought the 90 degree elbow threaded in to the shiny block (not sure if aluminum or stainless steel). Wife's a little happier, now. ;)
