Tractor
Current Kioti CK27HST and Cub Cadet 1810. Previous NH1510 Hydro, AC D14, Oliver 1355?, and JD 314 Lawn Tractor
Do the tractor manufactures keep repeating the purchase incentitives. Currently Kioti has a free FEL on the CKs and $3500 toward implements (including FEL) on the DKs. Bobcat recently had a free FEL and rebates on some models. Kubota has IIRC a low rate financing or a rebate on some of their tractors.

Question do the manufactures keep repeating these purchase incentitives or are they around now because of the bad economy? Is there a time of year that the tractor discounts are greatest. I am thinking that the Kioti's might be a good buy now with the free FEL on CKs or the DK $3500 implement offer now.

Does Kubota ever offer a free FEL or larger rebates or do they seem to favor a low rate finance options. Would like a L3240 but with only a $1000 rebate still much higher than the other orange.

Thanks for your thoughts

If the economy turns around, the incentives will be smaller and perhaps evaporate. It is a buyers market right now. If you can find it in the budget, now is a good time to pull the trigger. My local Kubota dealer is usually so high priced that I just cannot do business with him. I have tried numerous times over the last 25 years. I gave up even going there when I am looking for something, so I cannot comment on the Kubota's.

Wayne,

Unless something changed with Kioti's program it's "either" the free loader on select CK units, "Or" 3500.00 in implements on the DK units.

Programs have a lot of influence on dealer prices, but I guess the number on the bottom of the sales invoice should also be important. Back before the economy bottom out you really wasn't hearing things like Free Front End Loader, 0% for 72 months. Now since the economy is turning around (real slow) the 0% for 72 months in going away.

Based on how some manufactures are now filled with backorders, I wouldn't be sitting around and waiting to see it your name brand is going to get on the train of Free Loader.

Don't forget McCormick's free loader on "any" compact and ag tractor models. They all have the rear hydraulic remotes except CTV units.

Like anything else incentives come and go, depending on sales and the economy. But, one thing that is consistant with tractors: The MSRP keeps going higher. So, the sooner you buy the better the bottom line price. I've seen the CKs go up by $2K-$3K over the past couple of years as they become more popular.

Thanks for the info and confirming my thoughts that I better be acting on the quotes before they expire. My last tractor purchase was in the early 1990s. Did not remember the incentitives being much back then. I do remember not purchasing a FEL to keep the cost down as well as purchasing a demo for a better price. Well hope to start using the wheelbarrow less very soon.

Thanks

Kioti's not the only one offering a free loader or 0% interest right now. Massey Ferguson has the exact same offer, good through Sep. 30 as does Bobcat through Jul. 31 so there's at least two more choices for you. It makes more sense financially to take the loader instead of the zero interest rate.

If you need a machine now, then now is definitely the right time to buy. I went for the Kioti CK35 HST with the loader thrown in for free and I couldn't be happier with my choice.

I am also new to the tractor world, but my experience was that Kubota was priced very competitively with Mahindra and Yanmar here locally and much lower than Ford. I don't have any other dealers close enough to drive to, so I did not bother with any other price checking. Being a newbie, I didn't feel comfortable with anything I could not poke and prod before buying. My dealer was able to make me a little better deal than Barlow's quote and included delivery.

I got the zero % financing for 60mos incentive instead of the $1K rebate. Like not spending that $2.8K in interest it would cost to take the $1k cash up front.
