I purchased a brand new tandem axle trailer a 12 days ago and headed out the next morning to pick up a new to me 2005 Kubota B7800 and implements. The trip should have taken around 7 to 8 hours to complete, but instead it took 15 hours because of trouble with our brand new trailer. After finding that this trailer was equipped with Chinese axles and spending several hundred dollars on a complete brake job including turning the drums of which two were warped, we were finally able to return home 3 days later than anticipated.
I still cannot understand why any article of clothing that I purchase has the country of origin on the label, but there is nothing on this trailer that indicates that it was equipped with Chinese axles. If I had been aware of this fact when I looked at the trailer, I would not have bought it. Oh well.
If any one is interested in the trailer make, send me a pm and I will respond. My email is darkcloud5177@q.com

Sorry about the rant, but I am still burning.

That's too bad. Just another example of greedy corporations selling out to the lowest bidder, but not passing the savings on to the consumer, just the disappointment of cheap parts.

Next time look for Dexter axles, brakes & wheels. I think they're still US made.

All of these low price trailers have el-cheapo Chinese bearings with less than a finger wipe of grease on them, Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you have an inferior trailer just that they cut corners in the wrong places
Sorry to read about your problems, have your bearing and races checked and greased with a good quality grease
I have a Crosley trailer with Dexter torsion axles

You are right on about Dexter as I do believe that they are still made in the good old USA. The new brakes that were installed on the trailer happened to be Dexter. I had a boat trailer that had Dexter EZ lube axles which if you guys are not familiar with them, they have a zerk fitting on the end of the axle and the axle is hollow. When you pump the grease in it flows down the inside of the axle and exits between the seal and the inner bearing and back out through the outer bearing. I never had a problem with this trailer. I already have a had a tractorbynet member email me to find out the make of the trailer. Have a good one.

I have the Dexter axles but I don't think they are the new ez-lube version, I do have a grease fitting in the center of my hub with a rubber cap over it and my trailer was made in 1999

You do have EZ-Lube axles MrJimi. These are the best axles in my opinion. They do a much better job than Buddie Bearings because they get the grease back to the rear bearing and don't blow out your rear seal.

Really, they had those back in 1999? I really hope I do :D
I love everything about my trailer so far.
I was shopping for a 22' tilt for around 4 K or 5 K and my friend Pierre found this one for less than 2K and It's 25' long deck over, lots more room, I think like 212 square feet of flat space, thats the size of a camper :D
i did have to paint it and seal the deck but well worth it
pictures in my galleries, not sure which one

The first trailer I saw them on personally was a 1996 boat trailer I had. It had tandem 6K Dexters. So yes, they had them in 99 and as far back as 96 or earlier.

My 1997 4 horse trailer has them. They are easy to work with.

BTW, most trailer manufacturers list their parts in their spec sheets...
