Back in 2011 I bought a new loaded ford lariat F250 super crew cab 4X4 6.2 gas motor for $44,000 bucks.Sold it just before I retired and bought a excellent condition used 2006 ford f-150 super crew XLT 4X4 with 40,000 miles for $18,000.The wife and I went today to look at new 1/2 trucks Ford,Chevy,Dodge and Toyota.My god you talk about sticker shock $42,000 -$48,000 for a 1/2 ton truck.One has to wonder who will be able to afford these trucks in the future?Back in the day a 48 or 60 month truck loan was the norm,not any longer I guess.
