Kioti LK3054xs TLB, 2004
Hi all, just a note to say hi. Just picked up my LK3054XS TLB last Saturday. Have operated for an hour or so and could not be happier. The transaction was smooth and the machine in great shape. 2004 with approximately 150 hours. I looked and looked and looked. Used Kubota B21, new Kubota B7510, B7800, etc. I had looked at new Kioti's last year and was impressed with build quality and heavy materials used. So took the leap and have not looked back. I'm very pleased and am looking forward to exercising the loader and hoe this spring. Moves a lot of snow easy, looking forward to seeing how she performs with some rocks. I've been told the hydraulic pumps were problematic on these machines. And some instances of stabilizers breaking, the ones on this machine look reinforced as they are welded down the length of the tubing through which the pin goes that attaches to the machine. Please let me know if there is anything else I should be aware of.
I am happy to be a Kioti owner.
Sincerely,
Joel

Like others have said many times before,

Welcome to the pack!

In interesting in hearing about how this machine works out for you. It was one of the tractors I was interested in before I bought mine.

Nice looking machine, Joel. BTW, What will that trailer scale and how long is it?

HI Rimshot,

The trailer, as you can see, is a tri-axle. 6500lbs per, 18000 lb capacity.
She's 18 foot long (minus tongue). She's a tilting beaver tail. Got electric brakes on two of the three axles.

Easily handles my 12000lb Deere 350B dozer.

I paid $300 for the trailer and rebuilt the entire undercarriage, replaced all brake components and one slipper spring and 4 hubs.

I have about $900 total into it and it can handle anything I could every throw at it. I tow with a K2500 GMC with 1 ton springs and towing gears. It's amazing how much weight a 350 CI motor can pull when geared right.

Thanks for asking.

Waiting on my filters from R. Wallace and will perform first fluid as soon as they arrive.

Manual states 10W-30 motor oil basically all seasons, does that make sense?

Thanks,
Joel

Yeah Joel, I agree it does not seem to make any sense. I thought for sure the gallon jug of RotellaT 15W-40 would pass code after bringing it home from Walmart. When I opened the manual and was reminded they call for CC-CD rating which (I can't believe this) but Rotella fails to carry that rating. On another thread someone said Rotella has what it takes. I say if you got it flaunt it.

It does. That oil is fine for your tractor.

The ratings on the Rottella oil are fine and up to date. It is your owners manual that is showing out dated ratings.
I am not an oil expert, but it is my understanding that the Rottella oil you have meets and excedes the cc-cd rating you manual is showing..

Nice machine,
I live just above you in Goffstown and own a 2005 lk3054s tlb. A very rugged simple machine. If you can fine traction, you can move a lot of snow. I want to add chains to the rear wheels of my machine but with the subframe I am concerned with clearance issues. I added a golf cart cover on mine and after a half hour on running I can work bare handed underneath.

Thanks for the oil information.
Was at Walmart today thinking the same thing.
Will grab a couple of gallons tomorrow am, maybe tonight if I'm motivated to go out in the cold. Waiting on the filters, so no real rush.

Had the machine out today for an hour or so, running out of snow to move around, running out of snow at my neighbors too.

Will need to drive a little further down the street to find some more snow.

I am really glad I went with the Kioti, I've got a couple of older Kubota's and the Kioti seems to have all the good traits from the older Kubota and none of the bad.

Super heavy and very strong machine, the shuttle shift is smooth and the motor runs strong, starts very easy, even in the super cold, the glow plugs work nice.

After having to rebuild the hydraulic reverser on my deere dozer, the manual shift is somewhat of a relief to have, when hydro goes bad, it's not a good thing, a million seals, complicated clutch packs, lots of bearings, etc. Not a pretty thing.

Another thing I like about the machine. Remove hoe and loader and the machine is not super huge if you did have to split it.

Looking forward to changing all the fluids.

My hands did freeze solid today, golf cart cover is a great idea, gloves would be an option, an option for the weak :).

Thanks for the responses,
Joel
