Hi!

My name is Peter. I'm from Spain and have just adquired my tractor: an Iseki TA270F (see picture A). I am very satisified with the performace of this machine; it has plenty of power for the type of work that I and my family do. However, I don't fully understand some of its controls, and I hope someone here can solve some of my questions.

In the picture B, what does do the right lever? The left one controls the elevator on the backside (up and down). I guess the right lever has something to do with the hydraulics too?

To activate the PTO in this machine I have to activate three controls: one that is next to the starter (see picture C), a switch besides the steering wheel (see picture D) and finally, choose a speed with another lever. I know that this machine has double clutch: when you release the clutch, the PTO engages first, and then the tractor moves. My question is, the first control (see picture C) has three positions: center, left and right. What is the difference between left and right positions? the center position means the PTO is not engaged, I think.

Also, is possible on this machine to stop the PTO automatically when you raise the elevator?

And finally, do you know how many HP this machine has exactly? 27? It seems stronger...

Thanks in advance.

See if I can help some.
"B" is your draft control lever. It sets how a plow or other ground engaging implement is pulled by the tractor. If a different type of soil such as hard packed or real soft or wet is encountered, the draft will lift or lower the plow to compensate for that soil so that he tractor won't get stuck or spin out. There are lot better definitions, but that is a short summary.
"C" I have no idea what that one is for.
"D" Normal that is on and off switch for the PTO. Since you have this switch, I don't see how you could have a two stage clutch. This switch is normally for the activation of electro-hydraulic clutch pack for the PTO.
I more than like have just caused confusion.

Thanks Jerry, for you explanations.

I heard this Iseki model is similar to some Fergussons... Are the Fergusson parts useful for my tractor (oil filter, etc...)?

The two-stage clutch... I don't know if you mean this: when you release the clutch, first, the PTO goes on, and when you continue releasing the pedal, the wheels begin to spin. I can assure you that this tractor has it.

The control draft lever, does it mean that if I position this lever at the center, when the tractor begins to spin, the elevator will lift the implement? and then, will go down again automatically?
