After posting here for owner experiences on the Valby Chippers, I went ahead and purchased the CH140 with a hydraulic feeder a few weeks ago. Finally getting our tree trimming crew here yesterday generating 8 hours worth of pruning, delimbing and dropping several larger tress we went to work with the chipper. Or tried to....lighter branches with fresh leaves choked the unit several times necessitating opening the chute for clean out. The feed roller would load up with leaves and light branches. If I gave it a 3" to 5" limb, no problems. I have a call in to my rep, but this is a holdiay weekend. Anyone have similar experiences with any brand? Any throughts? We used to borrow a 6" Vermeer chipper but did not like trailing it around the yard and our hill property. I remember the Vermeer taking anything and chipping it out, not in landscape size chips however. We are going to try and process all the larger limbs for now. Have a great weekend!
