New XG3135 problem attaching mower to tractor PTO

Struggles with our new LS XG3135
When trying to hook my 6 ft finish mower to the 3135 PTO it was a struggle as it seams impossible to rotate the PTO shaft of the tractor with the PTO switch on and off with the key on or off but was able to get a pry bar and rotate the mower shaft to hook up whee ! I can imagine the struggle i am going to have hooking up my 5ft tiller unless someone can tell this old fart how to rotate the tracter PTO shaft?
Love this tractor but so far i hate that that dang PTO shaft set up.

Oh the struggle is real!
For me, I typically hook up the 3-point and lift the implement to where the pto shaft is easier to rotate. Then, I turn it back and fourth slightly while applying forward pressure on the shaft until the splines line up. Then slide it on. Grease also helps here. Another trick is to use a paint pen and mark the splines on the OUTSIDE of the shaft. Might make hooking up a bit easier.

Thanks avenger for the come back, i guess the struggle will continue on the PTO hook up but i do like the quility of every thing else on the tractor along with a 114.7 cu inch engine with a turbo for 35 hp.

I'm the same way, with my old Ford I could rotate the PTO shaft on the tractor with everything set just right. On this one, I'm like Avenger said, with my tiller I can hook up and raise it and turn that shaft. With my bush hog, I can turn that one by hand with it sitting on the ground. I can't imagine a finish mower would be that hard to turn just sitting there, but I'm not familiar with them at all. Hopefully someone who has one will chime in with a secret tip

My finish mower is imposible to turn by hand, it has a latge pulley off of the gear box with a belt that pulls three blades but i think i can raise it high enough i might be able to turn one of the blades to line the shaft up?? But not sure?

You should be able to turn the PTO shaft on your implements backwards (CCW) easily ---- at least I can on mine.

That wont work on my finish mower i have to put a 4 ft pry bar betwene the universal to move either way.

If your XG3135 has the mid pto option, put it in that (mid) position, turn it on very briefly, turn off PTO, leave in mid position, kill engine, and the rear shaft should rotate freely. Mine does, but mid is standard on it.

Thanks John but no mid on my tractor and the PTO is not a big deal for me, i will just probaly leave the mower on the LS and use one of my other tractors for disk and tilling.
