LS xr3037h
New to the forum as far as posting. Been reading for months and figured i would join in.

A quick back story: I live in Pittsburgh and own a lawn care business. We had a legacy XL that my dad had purchased which did fine up until this year. Needed something bigger that was able to lift pallets of fertilizer and basically anything ranging from 10 foot norway spruces to boulders. Started looking about 6 months ago.

Current story: read tons of posts on the LS tractor. I got quotes on deere, kubota, and mahindra. Ac ouple of horror stories about Mahindra from real farmers had me turned away. Orange tractors are awesome machines, the loader capacity is a joke. Next is the deere, my heart's true desire. Upon further inspection, it's all plastic, and the loader was just a dismal. I kept looking at the LS website and well low and behold i found one. The rest is boring i let the wolves fight over who could get me the best deal and ended up with a left over xr3037h. $20000 with just a loader.

Its home now, blew out the transfer case on my truck halfway home from my 2 hour jaunt but that's fixed too.

First Impression: The tractors fit and finish is way better than expected. online they look kind of cheesy but they are pretty impressive in person. I compare them to a WT pick up as opposed to the LTZ of a deere. The ergonomics are good the only thing i can complain about is the direction pedals seem backwards of every other tractor i've driven. The forward is inboard and the reverse is outboard. Give it 20 minutes and you don't notice and it actually is better for leg fatigue. My only other complaint is the steering wheels seems like it takes 20 turns to get it steering. I guess i'm used to the smaller tractor which didn't need as serious of a steering system.

Let's move to the loader. The thing is a real bastard. it'll lift basically whatever you have the guts to try. I only run it at 15-1800 rpm and it responds well, at full throttle it's down right fast. The SLQA is awesome, if you don't have one get one. The loader comes off easily and is built really sturdy. Lines are routed cleanly and protected. the only thing is the legs are are a little flimsy. I know why they did it every pound they weigh is weight taken off of the lift capacity.

Overall: Awesome machine, definitely happy with the intial purchase. Quality is on par with some manufacturers and surpasses others. The regen is not bad and the performance is awesome. This unit will be used commercially and i'm confident it will hold up to the abuse. The 10k saved over the deere will be put towards attachments. I appreciate the information from you guys and hopefully this will help somebody else out.

Welcome to TBN...................

Congrats on the new tractor. I have the same tractor in a cab model XR3037HC.
Just a word of advice to make sure you have counterweight / rear ballast on the rear when using the loader. The rear end gets awful light without one when using the loader. Also make sure the front tires are at max air pressure using the loader. If not, it's easy to roll the tire off the bead.
With a full load in the bucket tires may be hard to steer unless you are rolling and at max pressure shown on the sidewall. Rear tires can be lower pressure for maximum ground contact. I run 18-20# in mine.

I appreciate the tips George. Our last tractor had a loader capacity of #380. this is i think #2100. I bought a LP box blade for it. Our friend has a ballast arrangement he was going to give us. I will adjust the tires.

How many hours on yours? Ours has about 20

Used it yesterday plowing 24" of snow and noticed I just hit 90 hours.
Lift capacity is 2182.

I have a plow truck so mine won't see much plow duty.

Another note. I find these tractors are causing quite a stir in the tractor industry. I went to the local NH dealer to price out some implements and honestly to see how similar the tractor I bought was to the darker blue ones. Talking to a sales guy i mentioned a new purchase and when i told him i bought an LS all he did was sigh and ask " Well, why would you buy one of those?" Told him my reasons and at that point he was done dealing with me and my box blade purchase

I bought a land pride off of the Kubota salesmen who accepted he missed the tractor sale but was appreciative I plan to buy implements off of them.

I plowed snow for the past 50 years with a variety of trucks from pickups to an Oshkosk wing plow. I have owned a P/U most of my life, still do but I sold the last one that had a plow a few years ago. I plowed commercial for many years but got tired of taking people to small claims court for non payment. That plus all the freebies you do for friends. I'm too nice a guy who got tired of it costing money instead of making it.

With the tractor I have the bucket, QA 7'6" PA plow, and 7'6" snow pusher box. I sub for plowing contractors who pay me on the spot per job to plow when their truck breaks down or move snow with the loader when their plow can't move it.

I always found it better not to mention your brand of tractor when buying implements. As you found out, some dealers don't like selling or giving discounts to owners of other color tractors. There are some that will understand your reasons for buying what you did and will take your business on accessories. I usually buy implements used or build my own or adapt my something to fit.

I guess I'm too transparent of a person. I had that kubota guy on the phone for 15 minutes throwing numbers at me. I asked him if there was room and he said absolutely and we worked some stuff out. You can spend as much money if not more on implements

Unfortunately i live in the suburbs and it's hard to track down any implements around here. You're at the mercy of craigslist.

I've bought many implements and other items on CL. Flail mower, box blade, backhoe, post hole digger, etc.
Flail needed 2 bearings ($45) which were obtained locally, same with PH digger (bearings and seals $55), Box blade only needed cleaning, truck power angle plow needed to be adapted to QA total price $650. Backhoe (steel plating to adapt subframe to the tractor $100) After repairs, some primer and paint makes them look new. Bought all at right price on CL.
You just have to look to see what you think repairs will cost and negotiate the price accordingly.
I've also walked away from many items way overpriced and not willing to negotiate.

I agree. the problem is there isn't much on there. Brush hogs especially 6 footers are hard to come by. I would love a flail but once again, few and far.
