New year models and seasonal influence

I am strongly considering a purchase on a Kioti CK20HST.

The new Kioti CK models are rumored to be released around spring of 2004. When the new lines are released, is it likely to effect a price reduction in the CK20HST line?

Are there any seasonal influences in tractor sales such as weather or year-end models?

I live is southern California When I was tractor shopping in January to Feburary, the sales man seemed to have a lot more time for me and possibly I could have got a better deal, I couldn't purchace at that time. I wound up shopping all over the internet and other dealers and wound up getting the best deal form my closest dealer. good luck and happy hunting. David

I have always felt the best time to buy a new vehicle or tractor is the last few days of the year after Xmas. Most people don't have any money left for major purchases and many dealers are willing to reduce their prices for a big sale during a slow period. Even if their profit is low, the deal will boost their their total sales for the month and year.

But to be honest, I am not really sure when the model change over period is. On my JD which was bought at the end of December 2002 the purchase order does not specify the year and I asked them to hold off on delivery until April of 2003.
So it could have been a leftover '02 model, I didn't really care as I got a great price and intended to keep it for at least 10 or 15 years.
