Greetings everyone - I just found this site and it looks like my internet addiction isn't going to be helped any:D . Great site with lots of helpful information. I just got a quote of 16,900 for a new L3430 DT with a 513 loader and Ag tires. Does this sound about right. It will be replacing my 1961 601 Workmaster so I think it should be enough tractor for my needs. Again - great site.

You might want to get the 723 loader I have one on my 3130 and it will lift anything that fits in the bucket and then some

I second that! You should look at the 723 for sure if you are going to have a lot of loader work. The 513 does work well but not at the same level as the it's larger brother.

I "third" that, about the idea of upgrading to the 723 loader!

Welcome to the site! Not sure where you are located or if it is an 06 or 07 you were quoted! Go for the larger loader you will be happy.

In New England the dealers are trying hard to push tractors out the door. Making good deals on the tractor and add-on attachments.

FYI, Kubota is just releasing the new xx40 series. You may want to look at those or wait a little longer and the prices for the xx30 will start dropping or having rebates.

Grapevine,

There are so many new machines and models every year. Shop around and spend as much as you can afford. If you can afford a cab get one. Wish I did. You want HP, get it so you have no regrets. If you find something you like... Buy it...Get it over with and get some seat time. Wanting and wishing is nothing like driving and doing things with YOUR machine....

Grapevine,

I agree with the other posts, if its within your budget, get the LA723, the price difference is not that much more. You may also want to consider getting the optional skid steer type quick attach instead of a pin on bucket, and possibly the heavy duty bucket with bolt on cutting edge. Having a skid steer quick attach will allow you to easily change to other front mounted implements such as a grapple or snow blade. If your going to run any implements with a hydralic unit, a rear remote is also useful.

Its always fun spending others people's money:).

BTW welcome to TBN, great site with great people.

I have my L3130 setup with the LA723 loader with the quick attach and it is very handy. I went with the 66" hd QA bucket since I did not plan on massive dirt moving. I find it more manueverable overall. I bought the bolt on cutting edge but rarely use it since I find the toothbar of more value. Could have saved the money as the standard edge is only slightly less thick and strong.
