Greetings all, I've just joined and this is of course my first post. I don't own a tractor as yet and so I'm trying to gain as much information as possible before taking the plunge. It's great to read what other members own and issues that arise and of course the helpful responses.

Y'er Welcome. Any ideas on what your looking for in your future tractor.

I'm thinking 30-50 hp, 4x4 (bit hilly where we are), front end loader, PTO for post hole digger and other stuff. Brand I'm not sure of and of course cost?

welcome aboard,have fun here.i was up in exmouth Australia in the northwest territory.how are far away from you?

Local guy in town is John Deere, nice units but a bit out of my league, up in Perth you can get pretty much anything. Seems to be a lot of imported second hand Japanese units, which don’t seem to bad, quality and price. A lot of new Chinese tractors that offer up a heap of extras for a good price. For instance there is this Luzhong Bearcat 50hp with FEL for around $20 K (oz dollars), which doesn’t seem bad but I don’t know anything about them.

Hi mate, about 1500 kms, bit under a thousand miles, so just up the road really. A couple of our kids are on the road at the moment heading to Broomes. Spent a couple of days at Coral Bay just south of Exmouth, wind nearly blew them out of the camp ground.
