Just wanted to say I am so happy to find this website.

I love everybody on it.

So much like the country folks I hoped to find when I moved out here.

Thank you so much, and I hope you all stay the same.

One more thing: I hope to be helpful to you all, too, someday.

Kent

Welcome, and I know where you are coming from, once I discovered this site I wanted to kick myself for not finding it sooner. And I stopped being a member back in mid 2006, came back last month, and wanted to kick myself multiple times when I saw what I had been missing...

If the members here can't give you the advice you need, or steer you to the advice, well, son...

YOU ARE NOT PAYING CLOSE ENOUGH ATTENTION. YOU GOT THAT??? With that said, I will climb off my soapbox, siddown, and shuttup. Oh yes...HAPPY TWENTY-ELEVEN.

Kent,

:welcome:

I found TBN before it was TBN and ONCE read every post on the website. There is no way that could happen now! :D

TBN is kinda an addiction so be careful....

And it is scary. I cannot count the times I had a problem or question, looked at TBN, and someone already provided the answer. It is a bit scary sometimes.

TBN is the best website on the Internet. I know a couple of others that are pretty friendly but TBNers behave very well even when the discussions get somewhat heated.

Dan

An addiction, oh brother, you better believe it...before I began revisiting TBN last month, Ialmost never used my basement office with my gamer desktop, instead I stayed upstairs with my little screen laptop and barely used it. Now, being back into TBN, I spend so much time down here staring at my 24 inch screen monitor, my wife has started asking me "what are you doing down there so much these days"...she came down last week hoping to catch me looking at ****, but the history trail showed NOTHING but TBN going back for a week....

SHOOT....I GOT CAUGHT.

It may be an addiction, and you may hear dissent when the "scientists" or "safety police" chime in ...

BUT this site has stimulated a lot of thought, new ideas, AND saved me from making mistakes on projects. When you don't know what you don't know, there are folks here that can save you from making rookie mistakes. The latitude of information, with some entertainment, is amazing.

Thanks to all.:)

Would be interesting to have a poll of the members who would reveal (percentage wise) how much of their viewing is information vs. entertainment !!! I'd say mine is 35% information/65% entertainment. The recent "We were so poor that...." thread gave me more laughs than an HBO comedy special.

This is the main reason I love TBN so much. I'm a member of various websites that deal with everything from politics to pitbulls, and I have yet to find the quality of people and advice that you find here.

Common courtesy, mutual respect, civility...heck just plain MANNERS are sorely lacking in 99.9% of the sites out there. Rampant profanity, personal attacks, and just plain rudeness are the prevailing themes in most sites, no matter the subject. Not the case here.

If you ask a question, you get an answer or at least a direction to look towards. If it's about tractors (old or new), implements, farming/grading, home/shop construction...there are literally thousands of posts to access and research. I have yet to type a search about any of these subjects and not find relevant info.

There's always gonna be difficult people out there, but I've yet to find any here. (Unless you're talkin' global warmin'!)

Also, the lack of politics here goes a long way towards keeping things civil.

The quality of this site tells you something about people who own/love tractors.

Glad to have you on board!:D

:D Very timely post for me. :D

On our local website there is a thread running were some things that were being said were just wrong. I do not mean morally wrong but factually wrong. I REALLY try to avoid posting on that website unless it is to answer a specific question. Like where to get mulch.

The local website is very heated usually about local politics. And are local politics is VERY HEATED. We just threw out the bums in the last election and the new folks just did some of the big things they promised in the elections and they just go sworn in. Course the lies and misinformation is going on full force from the opposition.

But last night on the board they had a discussion were things were being said that were just flat out wrong. That is a red cape to me...

I

Could

NOT

Stop

Myself

From

Posting.

:D:D:D

Though I really try because it will just stir them up.

Since I could not stop myself, I stirred them up. :D I knew it would. Gots no one to blame but me. They immediately started with the attacks on the messenger. :confused3::mur:

If the subject was on TBN we would be having a nice discussion on the same subject.:thumbsup:
