Newbie from AZ-saying hello

Wow! What a very informative site you have here! I have been lurking for a while and want to introduce myself. I am a Firefighter from Northern AZ. I have NO experience with tractors, but sure am enjoying learning about them. I am looking for a tractor to mow my yard, clean my horse pens, renew my cinder driveway, plow snow, and help me with building a new garage. I am also hoping that when I get this tractor that I can maybe do some side jobs for neighbors and help pay for the tractor. I just wanted to say "Hello" and thank you for such a great site!

Thanks BizDoc! The closest dealer I have is a Kioti dealer and they are 30 miles away. I have talked with them and they seem very friendly. Just with no experience it is hard for me to decide. Right now I am leaning towards the CK35, thou the dealer seems to be suggesting the LK30. I am still open-minded thou and can always learn something new.

I am an advocate of working with a local dealer. It can be a pain to buy from a distance when it comes to parts and service. Do some checking to determine if the dealer is dependable. I seriously looked at a Kioti when I purchased my Kubota. I felt the price was better for a larger machine on the Kioti. However, the dealer was just too far away, and the Kubota dealer is just 10 miles away. I have read only good things about the Kiotis, they seem to have a good reputation. My Kubota dealer and I were talking about the many new brands poping up and he mentioned that some may not make it, but he felt that Kioti would be one that would remain, he also felt they were a good machine. I have read many posts from the CK35 owners who have been very happy.

Frank-Believe it or not, we do get snow here. I live about 3 hrs. north of Tempe and we get our fair share of snow. I know it sounds funny to get snow in what everybody thinks is desert. I live at 7500' elevation thou.

We are in the SE corner of AZ near a little place called Elgin.
I like my Montana 2740.
We have 5 acres of flatland. I mow the horse pastures (probably 3 acres) with a 5 foot mower and clean the pens etc.

If you get too cold up there come on down.

You will find a lot of good responses here. A lot of the people are knowledgable. Some are a little color predijuice as I am, but everyone loves to help others spend their money. I am a green person, but I have looked at the Kioti's and they seem like a decent tractor. I have a friend that has a ck35 and he thinks it's the best thing since sliced bread.

Once you purchase one you are going to be hooked There is no know cure at this time. You will just have to put in the time with the rest of us.
