Good day everyone!
I found this site while looking for information on JD F935 front mowers as I was in the market to get one and wanted to know about any quirks they had.
Used to live on a farm and my dad had a nice JD 710 with 37 loader, great machine. Moved to the city and have had an itching every since to get another JD someday.
Found one on kijiji, 1999, 1770hrs (meter works) has a JD soft cab with heater, 76" side swept deck, newer model 47 blower, wheel weights, chains and a box of spare parts! Picked it up this past Wednesday, 18hr roadtrip with a buddy. Already swapped out engine oil (Rotella T Syn) and filter, in the process of flushing the hydraulic/hydro system as the previous owner had it filled with ATF....
Using Shell Spirax, couldn't get out to the local Deere dealer (45min one way) for the Hy-Gard and had to get it up and running, had a foot of snow yesterday and more is coming.
Happy to have found this site, it has helped me fix the blower chute cable routing and small angle of movement problem, what to look for in regards to starting issues and a whole host of other good information and must knows.
Glad to join and look forward to participating in the many forums.
Thanks,
John
