i would like to hear some owner reviews of this tractor. i am about to get one, still researching though. probably more than i need. i have about 2 acres or so. one really steep hill across the front. want something that will last for 10-15 yrs with proper care. what is a good price for the 3200 with the 50" deck installed. thanks.

Well what price have you gotten and then I'll tell you if you are getting a good deal or not /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

They are great machines, loaded with extra features that will make life for you easier. Plus the lack of so many belts will naturally reduce your down time.

after begging and pleading for all i am worth, the best i could do was $5999 with a 50" deck installed. before taxes. they will have to order it as they dont have any more of the 3200 in stock.

Probably somewhere in the low $6K ( $6200-6400 maybe?)range woud be a fair price for a new CC 3200. I've never used one, but it's gotta be like mowing with a cadillac! I thought the 3K series had one belt on the deck itself to drive the spindles, where the 2K have two, PTO and deck belt. If you can find a leftover CC 3200 this winter or next spring, you'd probably get it for under $6K.
G/luck

Have had my 3204 for several yrs and in general, real pleased with it. The the large series mower in the 48" size which makes all the diff in the world in the ability to mow HEAVY grass. With the large mower it will mow easily in area where the small stk decks will choke and kill the engine.

The only down side I've seen and is somewhat common is the elec/vac selenoid used to activate the PTO will quit working about once a season if you have dusty conditions during the summer. I've found a way to open up the selenoid and clean out and it's back to working. The other minor thing is the labels/decals don't stick very well. About have of them on my tractor are either gone or loose around the edges.

This tractor replaced a JD 318 and I have no regrets.

OK, thats not a bad price. Considering that list is $6998 for the machine + deck. Basically he is giving you MAP price on the machine and then not charging you for the deck. So just think of it as you are getting the deck thrown in for free. I sell them cheaper...but your not getting a bad deal...there might be room to wiggle...but each dealer is different and each geographic region is different. If your happy with the dealer then I wouldn't make him mad by trying to lower the price...there is something to be said for service and a friendly face.

3200....you have nice taste! Looked at them last winter before looking at ZTRs, they are built.

Anyway, just to make things confusing [I'm worse than a broken record, but I will admit more often than not, the twist I'm suggesting is not the right tool for the job]....if you're just mowing, have you considered the Cub Cadet M48 Tank [ZTR instead of GT]?

If the hill is your only challange instead of obstacles, that 3200 will be your friend for a long long time, but if the hill isn't imposible and you have trees and ornaments, the ZTR will save hours on your engine and yourself.

Of course, if you have garden work in mind, then the GT is still the no brainer.

Didn't see a location in your profile. Is there a slow season for mowers? As mentioned before you should be able to shed a few hundred $$$ on a "left-over"; though with the deck you may have a pretty good price already.

Also, if it wouldn't destroy your pricing or get too wide for your gates or trees, I'd consider the 54 or 60" deck to minimize the turning radius (27"? not as tight as a cheapo LT, but pretty impressive for it's size & weight). Reading this thread curiousity got me and I had to look up the specs: misprint? or do they actually use 13ga instead of 11ga [much thicker] on the 50"?

Regardless, you obviously have good taste in machines and will be very happy whatever you decide! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

i may consider the bigger deck for the 11 guage vs the 13. i am in tennessee. i have been able to better the price on it since i originally posted, and i think i am gonna have him order it monday. i was almost talked into getting a 5252 he had on his lot for what i thought was a great price($7350 before tax). but in the end it was more than i needed, and after i got the 3200 for considerably less than he first was willing to sell it, i made up my mind.thanks.
