I've been browsing this forum for a couple of months now and first, wanted to say "hello" and comment on how informative this forum is. My wife and I live in northeastern PA and we own 72 acres. Probably 15 acres are pasture and the rest is wooded, and most of that is pretty steep (40-45 degree slopes). I'm without a tractor now, but will be purchasing my first tractor either late spring or early summer, so I've been out looking around. I'll be using my tractor to bush-hog our pasture, and possibly my father's pasture (another 15 acres, but hilly), moving firewood and downed trees, and general landscaping.
After looking at Kubotas a couple of weeks ago (used L4400's) I stopped by my local LS dealer today. I was quoted a pre-tax price of $19,521 for an
R3039H with loaded tires, or $20,671 for an R4041H, also with loaded tires. They each come with a FEL. I think I can do better, but am not sure how much better.
