I was speaking to the area you will eventually take over and plant hay on....you could contact your local ag store. Southern states... a farm type store in my area. Sells garden supplies, horse feed etc. They also have a service business with large equipment and will come to your farm, soil test , lime, fertilize and plant (alfalfa, timothy, etc) as needed for reasonable fees. You may have an Agway or similar in your area. Sometimes its better to pay someone who knows exactly what they are doing... you often get better results.
You will find tractors in "groups" of similar framed chassis with different HP motors. It may make sense for you to move up to the bottom of the next class. If you jump up in class you get more weight. Weight generally = more ability to move other objects. example a TC 48 is only 3 hp more than the TC45, but has much more loader capacity and working ability than the 45 for not much more money. The 45 is at the top of its class and the 48 is at the bottom of the next class. I have found there is somewhat of a price overlap from the top of each class, to the bottom of the next.
groups of similar machines with different engines:
older 1320 thru 1620
TC 25, 29 and 33
TC 35, 40 and 45
TC 48 and 55
TN 60, 70 and 75
