NH TC33DA w/Supersteer
I am happy to report that since starting my research back in September 2004, I finally made a decision and purchased my first CUT. Here's what I got:

TC33DA Hydro w/Super Steer
R4 Tires
15LA Loader with 60" bucket (no quick attach)
NH 72" MMM 914A (Rear Discharge)
Bush Hog RZ60
NH Front Bumper/Grille Guard

Total - $23,045 (Hope I did okay on the price, was the best I could do locally).

I was only able to play a short time today before severe thunder showers set in. Hope the weekend weather is better.

One question to other TC33 owners with super steer - when the wheels are turned to the full extent, the side of the front tires scuff the accessory grill/bumper guard - has anyone else experienced this, is this normal??

Thanks to all the members who responded to my posts provided information that assisted with my decision and officially join the CUT owner club.

I was told by the company that the grill guard recently has been re-designed to avoid the SS problem. It sounds like you have the earlier type.

I shopped around as much as I could. I priced at all (2 NH and 1 Case) local dealers within reasonable distance (less than 30 miles) and priced from NC internet dealer as well. I renegotiated the price from the dealer I purchased 3 times. Based on the pricing I've seen for similarly equipped TC33DA units at this site, I thought I did pretty good, but perhaps not as well as I thought. Just bought first digital camera this past Christmas, I'll have to figure out how to add to an email.

I called NH customer service, and they were no help - referred me back to the dealer. S/W serviceman at dealership, and he didn't have knowledge of same - said that my grill guard was brand new stock (accurate statement as I had wait for it to come in before delivery). He said he'd have to contact NH technical for more info. If you have any more info on the tire hitting grill guard issue, please add to post. Thanks.

I received the following info regarding the grill guard on the NH Owning/Operation forum from TopShop. I verifed with my dealer and they have the new guard on order. Just wanted to make certain the info is available to any other folk purchasing a TC33 with Supersteer:

Seacove and other SuperSteer owners,

There is in fact a June 2005 re-design of the grill guard to avoid the problem you found with SuperSteer. This change is so recent that I found out about it through the NH help line. Even my dealer hadn't heard about it until he looked in his most recent bulletin book. The new part number is 7198490056, at least for the TC33DA. He quoted a cost of $190.

Seacove,
Any thoughts on the TC33DA now that you have had it awhile? Any surprises, good or bad? Anything you would do differently?
Thanks.

I absolutely love it. It is large enough to do the job, but small enough that my wife and boys use for mowing without being intimidated. I went back and forth over the "supersteer" option, and I'm glad I decided to go with it - it makes mowing the lawn area around obstacles so much easier. Also, I had planned on a side discharge belly mower until the dealer convinced me to try the rear discharge belly mower - am I glad I did. The rear discharge doesn't blow clippings on the flower beds, fence lines, or the user; and you never have to worry about what side you're mowing on or around. Lastly, please see my post about "grill guard hitting tires" in the NH owning and operating section. I highly recommend the grill guard, but make certain you get the one made for supersteer models (I included the part # in the post). Thanks.
