newbie ?...reading the dipstick...

folks...newbie here...

i have a 2120 (85') i think...and am looking at the engine oil level and seems like the oil just just touching the bottom of the cross hatching on the dipstick.

i'm assuming that this LOW and that full means the TOP of the cross hatch on the dipstick?

You are correct. Technically, anywhere in the cross-hatched area is the "safe" operating range. However, unless it's time for an oil change, I top mine off. Also, always make sure that you're checking the dipstick with the machine parked on level ground.
