Hi, Guys
The noise has seemed to quieten its self down, no smoke or anything noticeable being wrong so we have mowed another field and are ready to spray and prepare for fertilizing and seeding. Thank you all for your help and advise. May your day be greatly blessed and productive...
No, plowing or cultivating since we haven't reached that stage in our owning implements yet but in the future we will, the Lord willing...
Take Care All....

Happy Tractoring, James! Giving your new tractor a little love should be a joy to both of you. I'm learning a little late in life that fresh oil can never hurt. But lack of... can!

Diesels usually sound different when they are first started. Lots of clatter, maybe even a bit rough running. After several minutes things get smoother and quieter as the engine warms up. Maybe that had something to do with it sounding different. The Rotella should be fine, as others say.
