We have casualty insurance for fire, theft and such through the insurance on the house. As a part of that policy, we have specific coverage up to a dollar limit for the contents of the shed on the same property. The contents of the shed include the tractor. Liability coverage is an entirely different matter. We have liability coverage of $300,000, as I recall, also in connection with the house insurance. We also have an umbrella liability insurance policy for something like $3,000,000 of additional coverage. However, we have been careful to make sure with our insurance agent that these coverages include something going wrong with the tractor-e.g., someone getting harmed through negligent operation of the tractor. The point is that coverages are most likely available for what you need, but you need to be very careful to make sure that a/ you and your agent are on the same page about the coverage you want and b/ the actual policies you get in fact do provide that coverage.
