Newbie\'s Wife Need Quick Hitch for TC40?

My wife is 5 foot 3 and not a very powerful lady, but she wants to be able to put tractor implements on. And she is not mechanically gifted either, though she is great at "book" type things.

Do we need to get a Quick Hitch option for the tractor? What kinds of problems do small women tend to encounter when changing tractor implements?

If it were me and I were buying a hitch system that was easy for my wife to use, I would look at one of the TWO part hitch systems on the market. Unfortunately they are fairly expensive compared to traditional quick hitches. However, they appear to be much easier to use.

The only problem would be hooking up a Post Hole Digger with a quick hitch. If your wife is going to use a PHD, then there is only one brand I know of that will work with a PHD, that is Pat's Easy Change system. It is also the brand I use but I would NOT necessary recommend it if your wife doesn't want to get behind the tractor and get a little greasy every now and again. Then again, I can't imagine my wife ever being able to hook up a PHD by herself so I suspect that your wife would not either.

Take a look at Freedom Hitch. This NOT the only brand like this so you might want to do some web searching if you think a 2 part hitch would work for you & your misses.

I think you need to look at the NH D series. Hydro transmission and adjustable arms are worth the price, especially in your situation, where your wife will be using the tractor as much as you.

Are you sure you need a TC40? A TC35D might cost about the same. I suggest you read this thread again.
