Ford 445A Diesel
I am trying to help my father in law get his Ford 445A diesel running again. I live in Calif, and he is in Idaho, so lots of phone diagnosing. After looking around this forum I now know where to find the Vin#. I will get that info before I post anything. Just wanted to say "hi" and am looking forward to the day when key is turned and she "Pops and runs." Thanks, 445A

Can't beat the view of the mountains (Coast Mts to the West, Cascades/Mt Shasta to the North, Sierra Nevada Mts /Mt. Lassen to the East) all visible on a clear day from my front porch swing.

Despite the 3-year drought there's a lot of green around here since I'm surrounded by orchards (olive, plum, almond, walnut, mandarins) that have to be irrigated year round. However, my non-irrigated lawns and hayfield have been browned out since last June and no appreciable rain in the forecast so far.

Have to conserve water. The growers around here are pumping ground water fast and furiously. Keeping my fingers crossed that my well doesn't run dry (154 ft to bottom, in the third strata). I can hear a well drilling rig running on my neighbor's place right now (an olive grower). They started last Friday, worked all day Saturday and started up again before dawn today. They must be drilling 400-500 ft down.
