Is it now a folk festival? It used to be the JVC Newport Jazz Festival. Or is that a separate event? When I was a kid, we'd vacation in Newport. We used to sneak into Ft. Adams and climb all through it. I've been in all the underground listening tunnels, cannon ports etc. I'm sure it would have been considered dangerous as heck, but what an adventure for a teenage kid!

It been a major folk festival for something like 4 decades. (not trying to call you old or anything! :laughing

HA! Just googled it. They're two separate events. The Jazz festival is next week.

Looking at the steaming lineup, I'm going to stick with the bluegrass on WPAQ (Mount Airy, North Carolina Bluegrass Music Radio in Mt. Airy NC) and WNCW (WNCW | Listener-Powered Radio).
