News report-four B26s stolen

A dealer in St-Jerome, north of Montreal, Canada, just had four new B26s stolen off his back lot. Thieves cut through a chain link fence and stole the four tractors in one go.

If you see a B26 being sold privately at a really low price, buyer beware.

I'll keep my eyes open....I live on the border- not too far away. Wouldn't be surprised to see something on craigslist.

Although I would suspect, that taking 4 in one shot required planning and they probably already had someone to pass them off to.

Who is investigating? Is it the RCMP- or local Police?

You're probably right, the four are likely in a container and on a ship going somewhere.

For now it's the local police investigating. I bought my Pronovost blower from that dealer and they butt up against open fields. There's an ATV dealer not too far away and he had large boulders placed around his lot to prevent just this sort of thing. I guess we're all going to pay through the dealer passing along his insurance increase.

That's true..Unfortunate for the dealer though.
