I borrowed a 1925 from a friend down the road the other day... needed to spread some SB2 (crushed stone) under a patio cover as a base for flagstone and my ROPS/canopy was too high to go under. I ran into a couple of issues.
The position control on his tractor has only two positions: all the way up or all the way down. When I asked him, he said "it's always been that way". That doesn't sound right to me, and when I looked the tractor over I found a little bracket that was broken. Looked like a 1/4" bolt attached to a pin on the right lift arm should go through a hole that was broken off this bracket. No pictures, and a poor description I guess. Perhaps if you are familiar with this model you can tell me something here? The "L" bracket was attached to a pin that went through some plate behind the right lift arm, above it.
Another question... is there any adjustment valve to adjust the rate of fall of the 3ph?

The link you are describing is the feed back link for the 3PH height adjustment. Need to fix that. You can simulate the working of the link by hand. Set the grade lever in the mid position and work the feedback link back and forth and see if the 3PH lift links go up and down. (tractor must be running).
Is there a needle valve below the seat? If so, that is the down speed control. Hope this helps

I've repaired the broken L-bracket that goes through the lever for the feed back link and installed it. Couldn't adjust because the owner isn't available with the keys.
Located the flow rate control; the "turn-wheel" had been kicked back against the panel and was freely turning on the shaft. The owner had indicated to me that this was something to do with a broken emergency brake??? I set the wheel back on the shoulders of the nut on the shaft and it adjusts in and out as it should. I'll check it when he gets home this evening to be certain it's working as it should. It's unbelieveable that he's tolerated the 3ph with no position control since he's had the tractor (bought it new). As far as the control wheel for the drop rate on the 3ph, since he told me it was to do with the brake I didn't look anymore at the time. I'll try to spend some time with him this evening if he's got time and see what else he might not know about the little tractor. Thanks again.

If needed I have the owners manual, parts manual and repair manual for my 1925.

Send me an e-mail if I can locate / find something for you.

Thanks Alan. I didn't get to it yesterday because the owner was out of town until late. Maybe today we'll check it out, and I'll PM you if we need anything there.
Are your manuals on CD or paper?
