I think it is a 2035 this year? I bought a leftover to save a few bucks, not intending to trade again for many years.

I absolutely love it. I bought it "unseen", my dealer didn't have anything that chassis size to compare to, so I only saw pictures. First impression was that it was a little big, but now, with 80 hours on it in 3 months, I think the size is just right. All the five and six foot implements I have access to don't even make it sweat.

I think the only real gripe I have is that the 2nd gear range is a hair to slow, and the 3rd doesn't have the "oomph" for the rolling hills I mow.

Glad to hear you like your tractor.

I have the same issue with my 12x12 shuttle, 3rd range is hardly ever used except to get around the lot a little quicker.

Could I be nosy and ask who your dealer is. I just looked and was surprised to see Benton is near Winslow. Your are in Hammond Tractor territory with a blue tractor!

I bought my tractor when we lived down in Wells from a dealer that sold out about 4 yrs ago to Beauregards in Scarborough (I think). Anyways, that is too far from home.

Union Farm Equip. only had one NH on the lot this summer, I figure they are getting out of NH. I spoke to the folks from Kramer's in Sidney while at the Farmington Fair - seemed like nice people and tried to be helpful. NH dealers are kind of scarce around here.

...Also, your comment about the wiring and "jumpers". It looks like you were working with two wires. My tractor has three wires for the seat switch. Is the principle the same? Is the "jumper" something you can buy at the local auto parts store. It looks simple, but I've never done anything with wiring before.

Kevin, if you look in the back of your Operator's Manual, you will see electrical schematics of your tractor. They are numbered as "Frames" instead of pages. If you look on Frame 2, I think you will find the seat switch. That's what I would use to see how to jumper around the switch. If you want to scan it and post it here, I'll try to help. Otherwise, you might be able to find somebody there who could help you. I just don't have a schematic of the three-wire switch.

Spade connectors are common items at auto parts stores and even in the automotive electrical displays at Walmart. You can buy a crimp tool, but for this application, I think I'd just strip the insulation off a short loop of wire, twist the end of the bare copper and crimp on the connector with a pair of pliers or vise grip pliers. That should do fine for this application. If you need to put two wires into the same crimp-on spade, its a little more work to make sure the connector is big enough for two wires, but it's not rocket science.

I didn't even realize where you were. Industry isn't far away! Used to get there occasionally with my work, Land Air Express.

Anyway, Hammond is the reason I have Bigger Blue. I was looking for a unit to replace my '70 JD140 and got an attitude from the son over there. A week later I bought a TZ25 from T&B up in Bangor. I then traded that for the current unit. Ralph in Sales has done an excellent job for me, and the parts guys are always (of course!) happy to see you. Kramers has treated me well the few times I have been there.
I chose T&B solely because at the time I was doing a Bangor run every day. It's still convenient because I can hit them in the mornings on my way to Calais or have them leave stuff out on my late night trips back here.

No we aren't that far away. The HomeDepot in Waterville was my second home for a while :D We just ordered a couch at Fortin's in Winslow.

I have never dealt with Hammond. I did ask them once about buying an implement, I think it was a scarifier with box. Asked if they deliver and was told they don't deliver implements, kinda sounded like he was proud of it too. I thought to myself, well maybe you don't, but surely you know someone who does deliveries for you. I have no idea who I was talking to there, young sales guy.

Bangor is a bit of ways to go too. Good to hear you have found Kramer's okay. I do my own regular maintenance, but always dread the day I run into a serious fix that means getting the TC40 to a dealer. I used to have an 18' Hudson 12K trailer, but I couldn't justify watching the tires and wires rot just incase I need it someday. Because it was over 10K, it needed an annual or bi-annual inspection too.

Thanks for the info.

If you were to leave Fortins and keep going north on that road until you cross I95 and you go by my place.

There's a ton of Home Despot stuff here too. Mostly stuff needed Sat. afternoon or Sunday.

I have no trailer yet. Hopefully next summer. I have access in a pinch, my Dad's is only 400' away, but he uses his 955 for income, so it doesn't sit still often. I told him if he went halves on a new one, I'd give him the new and I'd take the old. Dunno if he was interested or not. Just a 7500lb job would be perfect for the amount I'd use it.

Well, we were pretty close :)

My Home Depot visits are usually pretty destructive, but haven't made a serious trip lately thank goodness. I do need to go see what they have for 4" PVC pipe insulation. Need to finish up my radon vent pipe job now that it is cooler in the attic. Piping was finished this Spring, but it needs a bit more insulation.

Sounds like you would have access to a trailer if you needed one. Not a bad thing. I try real hard not to collect 'yard ornaments'.

Knock on Blue plastic, I haven't needed a dealer visit yet in 6 yrs and 980 hrs. My day will come no doubt. I just don't think I can keep a trailer, and a pickup to pull it, sitting around for anywhere near for what a couple tracrtor pickup and delivery charges would be.
