I'm a stubborn person and believe I can make the old baler tie with sisal. All my "advisers" only use poly twine. Now after about 2 months of misery. I'm down to twine plate adjustment twine holder spring tension and bale tension adjustments. I'm seeing the twine plate 5/16" not staying put or either they just stop in different places (small differences). I got like six bales in a row to tie (whoopee) then rounded the corner and started down a new row and no ties on one side, then, no ties on either sides. I've the Hydroformatic valve showing no pressure as I feel the bales are fairly tight, but, tonite I will try about a 100 psi and see if more bale tension will help along with a little more twine holder tension. The book gives the same symptoms to to much tension as well as too little tension. The other is with the proper number of links in the knotter drive chain I have no adjustment left. It requires 151 full links 1 connector link and 1 half link ( this comes from NH Dealer) no reference in the op manual as to number of links. The chain has to be run tight and as of now I've a little slop in the chain. bjr
