My NH 275 square baler has new pickup fingers on it, but now the pickup cage won't rotate when I rotate the flywheel. The plunger, feeder carriage, knotter, etc all work, but the pickup cage just sits still. I can see the shaft in the pickup drive over running clutch is not moving when I rotate the flywheel.
I suspect that when I was changing the pickup fingers out, since I had to rotate the cage to install the new ones, that I might have damaged the pins in the pickup drive over-running clutch. The manual says to service the pickup drive over-running clutch once a year, so this leads me to believe that I could have knocked one of the little pins loose, being without oil, perhaps.
All I can think to do is to remove the clutch assembly, and have a look at it. Any ideas? Many thanks.
