First post, I searched the forums for anything related didn't find much so here goes. I have a new holland (ford) 3415 and the range selectoR has become slightly off, I can put it in 1 or 2 OK but 3 causes it to almost engage two ranges at a time and 4 locks it in two ranges. The only adjustment I can see is one of the linkages has a small amount of adjustment but I have tired both extremes and the middle to no avail. Doing that also misalign the neutral gate positions.
The tractor has 175 hours so I wouldn't think it's worn?
Trying to avoid the expense of hauling to a dealer or at least understanding it better before I take it there.
Thanks

Hi. Welcome.

Have you inspected the linkages to make sure they are tight and have not slipped?

Hi. Welcome.

Yes. In this case the linkages are flat bars, and as I mentioned, the only adjustment is about 3/4" on one of the bars. It appeared to be where it had been from the factory but I loosened it and tried it as short as it would go, and as long as it would go. neither position helped and made it where the two levers didnt line up in the neutral position. In the middle, they do line up, but then it has the problem I described of engaging two ranges.
