Mowing NH 451 Sickle Mower repair issue

Had a rear plate break along the bearning shaft. Replace (basically a rebuild) all bearing and broken or worn parts. Hand cranked to check for any clearance problems and had none at the time. When I hooked up to the tractor and got it up to operating speed I noticed a knocking sound and found that the new rear plate in hitting the area where the housing and the bottom shoe all bolt together. All the new parts matched the old ones as far a size and fit.
