NH/Ford 1210 Pre-Combustion Chamber Removal

Hi All;

Hoping to get some guidance/advice.

I'm replacing a cracked head on a 1984 1210 and am in the process of moving all the bits over to the new/reman head. I've got the injectors out but I'm stuck on how to remove the pre-chamber gasket, spacer, and shield (items 6, 7, 8 on attached pdf)Any advice/tips would be very much appreciated !

I just went to NH website for your rig. Item 6 is called gasket, 7 a spacer and 8 a shield(Cup). with those names I don't believe they are fixed and or can be tightened or loosened in place. It looks to me they are pressed. a journal bearing puller can be used but the hole is way too small. perhaps a Jaw of puller can be used like the pic below suggests.



If the head is removed then , can you not turn the head upside down and gently punch it out using a rubber Mallet and a flat facing punch?
