2004 New Holland TN75D
I've been lurking here for awhile. Want to thank members for their information which helped in my decision making process.

I switched from the green-gold to blue. My TN75D is on the water - due to arrive in the Port of Baltimore next week. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Recently contacted 17 NH dealers and found the price difference was $7,250 from the quotes received.

Paid $31,050 for a 2004 TN75D, R1 11.2x24(front) 16,9x30(rear), non-corrosive rear tire ballast(bean-oil?), Power shuttle shift, dual-remotes/joystick/mid-mount coupler, 3rd remote/lever, engine block heater, grill guard, seat armrests, rotary beacon, external mirrors, back-up alarm wiring kit.

Last night ordered a Pioneer DEH-P4600MP CD/MP3/WMA player ($147)

Other items ordered;
32LA FEL/MSL/quick hitch, 84" HD bucket, 48" pallet forks
Woods 1050 BH w/18" bucket

Thanks,
Marty

Congratulations on your new BLUE purchase. A very nice workhorse and complete with a great savings to boot. It looks to me like you did your homework. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I may have missed it did you mention that you got a tooth bar as well?

Marty,

Congrats on your new purchase. You will love the new rig. Tell me something, the $7,250.00 was that the difference between NH dealers or the John Deere Dealers. I am interested in what made you switch from originally going John Deere to New Holland.

I started out looking at JD and Kubota and ended up NH

Excellent choice /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The TN75D, loader, Woods 1050 backhoe, tires and most fo the options are exactly the same machine that I have. I love it & can't wait to compare notes when yours arrives.

The $7,250 is the high-low difference of the same NH configuration from NH dealers I received quotes from.

Had a JD 770 compact w/FEL&BH for 5 years - narrow w/turf tires, was worried it may tip over. Replaced it with a JD 5310 for 4.5 years. Good tractor (power reverser problem - recall fix 3 years later), wider with Ag tires and not tipsy like the 770, but stored outside. I have allergy problems mowing
- knew this when I got it, but with remodeling, land purchase and car payments, couldn't swing a cab unit then.

Looked at JD, Kubota and NH with cabs. The local JD dealer (Keil Equipment) took 2 weeks to send a quote after 3-4 calls, and a visit to old man Keil (92). Nice guy, I like him, but he doesn't kick his kids in the **** enough! Had an extremely good deal on the JD 5310 from these guys in 1999 - but not this time on a cab model quote. Another JD dealer had a stupid quote also. *So JD was out.

Other JD:
-In 1999, my JD 31b? post-hole digger never shipped and production was on hold due to safety issues I was told - don't think JD is able to resolved it yet... heard they will offer one soon!
- Received a nasty reply from a JD corporate jerk - I complained that I did not get loader stands with my new purchase like advertised on the website. They said stands are only included with the 541 loader, not the 540 that was on my new tractor. I wanted them to take the 540 off and put the 541 on then... but no dice.

Local Kubota Dealer (Rearden Briggs) came here to look at my 5310 (like new) for a trade-in value. 3 or 4 calls to him later - hasn't looked up the book value and still checking Kubota availibity. Haven't heard back yet... still waiting.

Same HP tractors, the Kubota was about 1,000lbs. less than JD or NH. Infact - the specified weight for JD + NH was the same... to the pound, strange. Heard Kubota tire rims are made heavier to increase the tractor's weight. I don't like the operators station layout, levers/peddles. The axles, 3-point hitch, etc... seem smaller than JD or NH. Sometimes I can be a little rough with equipment, Kubota just seems like something I would have a better chance breaking than NH.
