NH T1510
I bought my NH a few years ago and use it periodically around the property. It has 70 hours on it and has never been serviced outside of lubing all zecon fittings. I want to get on schedule which basically involves filters. Are there any recommendations for where to source them? It looks like ebay has sets for $125. Is it really that expensive to maintain these? Unless I read wrong, it says every 50 hours (potentially 1 week) swap filters and 100 was fluids.

Read your operator's manual or the decal under the hood. You don't need to change ANY filters at 50 hour intervals after the initial service. Because yours hasn't been serviced in several years, change engine oil and filter, fuel, hydraulic and hydrostatic filters and check the air filter. Consider changing the hydraulic oil and front axle oil, then you are good there for a while.

The manual actually never lists hydraulic oil change intervals. My friend's kobota has that in the 2000 hour interval, so I'm curious why 70 hours would make mine ready for a change already? I'll source filters and do an oil change for sure.

You might look at the page in the manual where it shows you how to change fluids for additional information. With both my NH tractors the hydraulic oil is the same as the transmission oil and rear axle oil. In both manuals the lubrication and maintenance chart just states to change transmission oil every 300 hours. If I look at the page on how to change the transmission oil it says to change the transmission, rear axle, and hydraulic system oil every 300 hours.

Says 300 hours for mine as well (no mention of first 50 hours). I looked at the dip stick and it was crystal clear so I should be good. The oil was dark as expected for a new diesel engine. Looks like I'll do hyd, hst, fuel, and oil filters as well as oil and coolant change.

When you do the hyd, how do you handle collection and disposal? 8+ gallons is a lot compared to a typical oil change.

Air filter outer = AF1658K
Air filter inner = AF8304?
Fuel filter (sans orings) = FF5599
Hydraulic filter = HF6513
HST filter = SBA34050103?
Oil = SAE 10W30 x 4.2qt
Coolant = 50/50 eth glycol (green) x 4.2qt

Any comments on using NAPA or O'REILLY for parts or is tractor supplier a better bet? NH dealer is a drive but bobcat is up the road.

Everything of mine goes to the shop for service. It takes me 3-5 years to get 300 hours on one so it is not a big cost spread out over that time. I only use NH fluids and filters. I keep oil, hydraulic fluid, and air filters in stock at home if I need it between service.

I have 70 hours in 5 years so not a big expense obviously. But I don't want to deal with transport for simple filter stuff. Also, coolant is 12 months so you must flush yourself? I didn't know that so will do first time soon.

After more research, I've found some filter cross reference numbers for all filters I need. Can anyone confirm? I don't get by the dealer so it would be a special trip typically in traffic so ~100 miles and 3+ hours (2 choices but same issue for both). I can really only do a weekend trip which wastes half a day driving. If TSC, NAPA, Walmart, etc have what I need, I'd much rather do that. Alternately, I could ship but I don't want to ship fluids really.

Someone on this forum posted this info but I can't verify:
SBA340501030
EQUIVALENTS:
Baldwin BT8905, Fleetguard HF35254, Ford SBA340500770, SBA340500890, SBA340500990, SBA340501030, Wix 57088

Also, the dealer claims that automotive coolant (green, eth glycol) is not acceptable to use. Do I really need NH coolant? And the hydraulic fluid (134) is specially designed for the NH. Is there a generic equivalent that will be at least as good? I've seen UTF mentioned on this forum as well as sourcing from TSC and Walmart.

I'm going to use at least OEM quality as long as I can determine what that amounts to. I just dread the drive to the dealership the way traffic is these days.

EDIT: sorry, my table got messed up. Not sure how to post it better.

I stopped by O'Reilly this evening to pick up a fuel filter for my pickup and looked at their generic O'Reilly brand UTF. The back of the 5Gal bucket showed Case and Ford compatibility and one of the items was 134. I should have taken a picture of the back to know what the full number was, but it was the green bucket #74209. Can I assume that if it lists 134 compatibility then it's acceptable to use or is it still better to use the NH stuff? For now, I only need around a quart to top off after replacing filters.
