My "new to me" NH T1510 shifts hard but not always. The Hi, Med, Low works fine I guess. Am I supposed to use the clutch when shifting the Hi,Med,Lo? The reason I ask is that it seems to work fine w/o clutch. It's the 1,2,3,R on the stick that doesn't always shift easily and sometimes grinds going into gear. I did adjust the clutch linkage a little because when I got it the freeplay was a little in excess of what the book says. It's now "within range."
Mebe I should give a little more info on this tractor. It's a last year T1510 (2012) that was being reposessed when I bought it from the original owner. So far as I can tell the 1st owner took it home and used it but not hard. However, I believe the only maintenance he did was to change the engine oil and filter once at 65 hours. Nothing else. When I took it home it had a little over 770 hours on the meter. I'm still in the process of doing the maintenance including replacing some grease zerks on the FEL that wouldn't take grease. Frankly I'm surprised it ran as the fuel filter was so clogged I had to scrape the crud out of the sediment bulb. Regards, Woody
