NH TC35D Hydraulic Fluid blowing through (vent?) hose under engine

Please help this novice. There is hydraulic fluid blowing out of a hose that comes from the top of the engine and hangs freely underneath. I am assuming it's some sort of vent because my reservoir cap isn't equipped to vent. I have changed the filter and fluid. At idle nothing comes through the hose but the more you idle the more blows out of this hose. Fluid seems to be a little foamy. The bucket and 3-way work properly. I don't know much about tractors but I'm trying to learn. Thanks.

It sounds like your crankcase breather is the thing blowing out oil. If the tractor isn't old it could be that the engine oil is over full. If the engine is high hours it could be blowby. I'm not familiar with that tractor, there is a new holland forum here so you'd probably get much more help posting this question on that forum.

When you say the "fluid seems to be a little foamy" are you talking about the stuff coming out the breather tube (which is probably engine oil), or are you really talking about the hydraulic fluid? The vents for hydraulic fluid are usually in out of the way places like on the top of your front axle or on top of the transmission case in an out of the way place. You'd probably have a hard time finding it if you don't know what you're looking for. It would not be on top of the engine.
