Nh tce 50 vs tc 40 da (loader work)

a friend of me had a question, he will buy a new tractor and he is doubting between a tc 40 da or a tce 50, a lot of his work is loader work in open eareas, he loves the tce 50 just as i i love mine /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
But there is one problem is a hydro a really need for loader work ??

A lot depends on the type of loader work your friend will do. If he is working in close quarters where fine adjustments of speed and direction are needed, then the ability of the hydro to infinitely vary its speed and immediately change direction could be a strong consideration. If your friend is doing loader work in the open and not necessarily putting dirt into a trailer or truck, then the gear tractor will work just fine. What the hydro gives you is the ability to easily change direction and speed without taking your attention away from the job. With a gear tractor, you will probably have to do a lot more changing of engine speed, clutching, shifting gears, or shuttling between forward and reverse.

As Slippy suggested, your friend should not buy either tractor without trying one first. But if he has to do it without driving it, then he should buy what he is already familiar with.

He drove mine and he remembers the hydro of my tc 45 d. (my previous tractor)
the opinions of a few owners was important for him too
his brother drives a tce 45 in his orchard with a loader (now 1800 h only problem a locked 4*4 stick)
And he chose the tce /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
A tce 45 + cab + front weights and some other gadgets = price of a tc 40 da and a cab is a dream here always rain and cold /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
so there is a big difference.
But when i lives in the USA i bought me a tc 45 da or maybe a landini mistral /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
