Good day all,
My NH TN75 Stoll FEL (new tractor to me) is connected to the rear remotes which is controlled with the joy stick. Currently my manual third remote is not being used. (I have a hydraulic blade and may use it for a grapple some day) With my current setup, I do not have and miss the FEL float for levelling. I notice that my third remote manual lever (and the valve) has the float option on it. I don't foresee needing the float on that valve, so my question is can I just switch the valves and the appropriate control so I have the float on my FEL? Other option is to purchase another valve with the float.
I assume the current joystick control should work with the a float valve? Thanks

You should be able to switch the cable to the valve with float, make the cable adjustment and be happy.

Hello All,
So I am still trying to understand my hydraulic valves on this tractor. In particular the 3 remotes located behind the seat mounted to the top of the housing. To be more specific 2 of the 3 valves that operate the FEL with the joystick which does not have a float position. So my first question is that I notice in online parts catalog that one of the valves has VALVE WITH FLOAT AND AUTOMATIC CUTOUT. I understand the float but not the automatic cutout? If it is in float position there is no reason for a cutout? Isn't a cutout necessary if it has a position with a detent that needs to trip back to center if a cylinder reaches the end of its stroke?
Secondly As per pics attached, looking at the non operator side of the valve it appears all 3 valves are different. The top one is for the auxiliary remote and that lever handle has a float in both positions. It is the other 2 that I am wondering if one of those is a float and for some reason the joystick does not operate it?

The cutout is an adjustable pressure detent for the raise and lower functions, not float. Valves with float only have one float position, not two.
The bottom. Valve is a non detented valve without float, should be connected to the bucket circuit. The middle valve is a non detented valve with float, should be connected to the loader lift circuit. The top valve appears to be a detented valve with float and should be your rear remote valve.

Hi Rick, I agree with you on all those except I don't fully understand the cutout with detent yet, but not too important at the moment............. It is the second middle valve that you say has a float but it does not work with the joystick?

It looks like the round housings opposite where the linkages connect to the spools are 3 different lengths. The center valve should be connected to the joystick, is it not?

Yes the top valve (Aux remote) linkage is connected different than the other 2, not sure why? The second and third valve are indeed connected to the joystick. The previous owner told me he installed a new joystick, I am wondering if it is not installed correctly and does not operate the float? There is no play in the joystick cables.

Probably just a cable adjustment. Run the cable sheath one way or the other about 1/4" right at the two nuts that anchor it (shown in your pic). Sorry I can't advise you which way. If you lose lowering speed you have gone the wrong way. If you lose raising speed without regaining float there's something else going on.

I will try that tomorrow. I am guessing if I fully disconnect the linkage I should be able to shift the spool by hand into the float position if it is there?

Yes, but it will be pretty stiff. The joystick actually has a fair bit of leverage on that short link on the valve.
From the cable end of the spool float will be all the way in.
