1st Try: I have a 2001 NH TN65 4wd with 300 hours that has a very noticeable clicking sound in the drive train. Yesterday I removed the drive shaft to the front axle and the noise was still there, so I ruled-out the carrier bearing and drive shaft. If I shut the motor off and coast down a hill the faster I roll the faster the clicking sound is. I don't hear it in reverse. HELP!!!!
2nd Try: I have narrowed it down to the parking brake. While moving if I pull the parking brake up two or more clicks the noise goes away, when I let off the parking brake while still in motion the clicking sound doesn't come back for a couple of rotaions of the tire. I tried pressing the right or left brakes the sound is still there, so I think it is in the parking brake.
