NH TN70 Hand Barke Sticking

I have a 2003 NH TN70, I am the original owner. When I set the hand/parking brake and then go to release it the lever in the operator area will perform normally. However, I have to manually push the arm attached to the transmission casing o get the brake to release. Has anyone else encountered this problem and how did ou solve it?

I need the parking brake here in the hills of WV as one could guess.:laughing:

Crawl under the tractor with your favorite aeresol penetrant. Disconnect the linkage and swing the park brake lever down as far as you can. Spray the area where the operating rod enters the housing. Work the lever throughout its full range of motion repeatedly, spraying the referenced area as you go. It should free up. Don't let the tractor roll over you while underneath it.
