Anyone tried this ? I have my doubts if it's possible.... my 54 CMS deck goes thru front wheels like it's going out of style... I know grease and adjustment but the construction totally sucks, the 914a deck the front wheel can pivot the 54/60 CMS decks are fixed hence you wear out front wheels like crazy...

Anyone ! advice please ... other thought is to MOD the 54 CMS deck with custom wheels so it stops breaking expensive wheels 24/7 !

Don't let your deck ride on the wheels?

it rides on it's wheels except they don't swivel hence they were out super fast.

The deck shouldn't ride on the wheels. The wheels should be adjusted to about 3/8" off the ground only touching when needing to keep the deck from scalping.

I had a TZ25Da (same as TZ18) with 500 hours on the factory wheels on its 60cms deck. Keep the wheels off the ground and they will last much longer.

why should the deck ride on it's wheels ??? that makes very little sense that would mean your cut is never the right height

deck should NOT ride on wheels

And how on earth will you get an even cut unless you have a lawn that is perfectly flat ????

Get an owners manual for your deck and read it, all explained there. People are trying to help and you won't budge.

Edit:
PsRumors has it right, set your cutting height with the adjustment knob and then set your wheels approx 1/2 inch up from the ground. The wheels are only there to prevent the deck from gouging on uneven ground. If none of this makes sense, the manual will probably have pictures.
