NH warranty on repairs honored anywhere?

NH dealer in Texas who did some work on my tractor says that the parts and labor have a six month warranty that will be honored at any NH dealer in Wisconsin. Any truth to this?

Tractors are a different world than cars!

Bob I know what the NH warranty says but my experience has been that other dealers don't want warranty work for units that they don't sell.

When my hydraulic oil cooler went sour I called a NH dealer that was closer to me than where I purchased my rig. I asked him if he could supply me with a replacement and explained that he would get all my future non-warranty work as a result. They referred me back to the original dealer regardless of the fact that I was installing the cooler myself.

This type of dealer response makes no sense to me but that's that way it is in a lot of cases.

I understood Doc_Bob's question to be not related to warranty work, but rather warranty on work done by a dealer.

I've never heard of one dealer honoring a warranty for work done by another dealer.

Yes, my apologies to Pineridge for being "unclear". The tractor no longer is under warranty. The repairs done in Texas were "incomplete", or in other words, what they "fixed" is still "broken". The Texas dealer said "no problem", all the parts installed in Texas have a 6 month warranty honored by any NH dealer, even a NH dealer in Wisconsin.

Should I pay the Texas NH dealer for "not fixing" the problem?

Do you really mean to ask if should you have to pay a Wisconsin NH dealer to fix what a Texas NH dealer was already paid to fix?

That's really a question for the Wisconsin NH dealers. Unless this warranty is in writing from NH I think you already know the answer.

I could be wrong, but if the work was done by an authorized NH dealer any other authorized NH dealer has to honor it. It might take a little argueing and a phone call to NH but thats part of being a dealer.
