My niece, a slim 23 y/o blonde and third generation Marine, was recently discharged after serving for four years. Before starting college she flew to Europe to spend three weeks traveling solo. In Amsterdam she lost almost everything to a pickpocket. Went to the embassy and got her passport taken care of. We sent her some funds to help out. A few days later a pickpocket tried to rip her off again. She reeled him in and beat the bejeezus out of him!

Love that girl! :D

I hate thieves - My Brothers in laws got a call saying their daughter was in prison in Mexico and if they paid $1000.00 they would let her out. They sent it. You guessed it a rip off.

I know a girl, tall but very slim, who was in a bar and was being 'hit' on by some bloke. He wouldn't take no for an answer and eventually things got a bit physical with her. She decided that enough was enough and retaliated. The bloke wound up laid out on the deck and with a broken arm. Then she called the cops. He was charged and convicted. What he didn't know was that her parents ran a Judo school. Not many people know you don't mess with Debbie. :cool2:

Maybe she taught him a lesson his parents failed to teach him! Good for her!

The parents of the pickpocket probably taught him the trade. The Rona in particular are a suspect bunch.
I'm surprised the girl wasn't charged with something more serious than the pickpocket was. Cops usually don't like somebody doing their job better than they can.

She says they did question her about what they considered excessive use of force on her part, but by and large seemed pretty amused once she let the guy up. He promptly toppled over as she had tied his laces together.

Back in the 80's, during the Cold War, I was an Embassy Marine with the State Dept. We where told that a stolen passport could sell from several grand to over a hundred grand, depending on where it was sold. It was very common for tourist to lose their passports, so I always wondered how true those dollar amounts where considering how many people lost their passports. Most of the time it was women who kept them in their purse.

:laughing::laughing: So, she managed to take the guy down, hold him for the Po Po AND tie his shoe laces together!:laughing::laughing:

What excessive force did she use? Did he have broken bones? :confused3: Did they really consider just holding someone until the Po Po arrived excessive? From the English papers I read, it would not surprise me if they treated her as a criminal if this had happened in the UK.
