Nissan doesn't thrill me - they have routinely been in the back of the pack for quality & design but then again, so was Dodge when Cummins first was used, as they were late to the market. So maybe good things will happen?
They are on the right track with a smaller displacement & (hopefully) lower cost/price, lighter-duty diesel. I would expect 30 mpg highway as per the original light duty diesel / heavy vehicle combos of yore (see: GM gas conversion engine debacle).
If they can get this combo back, I'm interested. If not, forget it.
